You see me posting some of my photographs here, sometimes I include slide show other times images are embedded into the text.

What are you going to find there?

By saying that you will find most of my work I mean not only the most recognizable nature or landscape fine art pieces. The galleries are split into three sections: Fine Art, Portraits and Events.

Fine Art

This section contains all of the most recognizable photographs taken by me, which also at some point were showing here on the blog or you may have seen my sharing on twitter or facebook. Inside this gallery you will also see smaller ones, presenting photographs organizes by certain theme. And there are shots taken back in 2009 and my Project 365 period, some recent landscapes from Krakow and some from my time in Raleigh, my Animal Kingdom mini-series and of course lots and lots of nature inspired photographs. You will notice that each gallery offers price list and size selection you can choose from. Of course sometimes standard sizes are not the solution, in that case simply send me a message via contact form and we can together work on the size, that fits your unique needs.
I am trying only in general to tell you how much you can see there but to really see you need to visit the Fine Art gallery on my site!

Portraits

The name of this section is self-explanatory, isn’t it?
I have had the great opportunity to work with models as well as families and soon-to-be spouses and help them create memory of certain moment in time.
Sheneta’s kids were just graduating high school. Very important time not only for them, but the whole family, isn’t it. Bright future opening in front of these two young people new experiences, more responsibilities, school far away from home…
Eric needed some pictures for his portfolio, as he was about to start career as a model for kids products. Big tasks were waiting for him! And it was so much fun to help him with getting the needed head-shots as well as few more photographs to save his childhood in family photo album!
Aga i Mirek are married by now, but then the were still during the planning phase of their big wedding day! They are such very nice couple and it was great to photograph them at various outdoor locations in Krakow.  We were together looking for spots and using the locations they enjoyed and liked. Now they have memories of the time spend together before the big YES was said during church ceremony. And they also have photographs to keep their memories fresh for years together to come.

Events

In events section the variety of subjects is pretty wide. From a wedding to a rock concert or even preschool graduation and not forgetting about art exhibition and reception! There are moments hard to recreate and at the same time- moments truly worth to be remembered. That’s why I enjoy photographing events, that in few years someone can include in their portfolio or add to their family album.  It’s the only way for our life to be remembered and saved. Because just as says Polish poet and the Nobel Prize receipient Wisława Szymborska: “No day copies yesterday, / no two nights will teach what bliss is / in precisely the same way, / with exactly the same kisses.

Where else to look for inspiration and find great things for Valentine’s Day gifts?

Etsy is great place. And by searching treasuries you can discover truly amazing items!

Like in this treasury above, which not only featured my print Aside, but also was featured yesterday on the front page of Etsy!

Few days ago, after seeing some amazing photographs of smoke and the amazing abstract shapes this allows to create- I decided to try for myself.

It took a little bit of playing with my set up and finally I got some shots, which you can see below in the slide show. Some of these shapes look like scary monsters other like gentle outlines of feminine shapes.

It’s sad to see the market changing in a way, that allows to disappear the brand which established the way the same market functions.

Not sure if you have followed the news, but for some time now everyone was talking about financial problems Kodak is struggling with. They have sold already some divisions to help finance further operations and very often now filing for Chapter 11 is being mentioned.

I haven’t had chance to use much of Kodak products. And that doesn’t change the fact how much I appreciate Mr Eastman and his company, and they way they influenced photography. This is the company that made cameras and picture taking more accessible and available for non-professionals, for families to capture and save their memories.

I am not person who would analyze what went wrong and how this could be avoided. But I will be really sad if one day Kodak will be brand name belonging to the past.
Maybe there is still hope?

Maybe all the resolution lists we are making every year at the beginning are just too much?

I will admit, that not everything from my last year’s list stayed on my mind after couple of month or even less. The true , most important goals, the very few things I try to focus on these seem to somehow unconsciously exist in my mind and come back when the situation allows for their fulfillment. It was also a tough year for me: finishing my degree, working, adjusting to new place, people, city…
So this year I haven’t made firm solid list.

Instead I started with organizing some of my tools (like mailbox, or photo files on my hard drive, the resources and learning sources I am signed up via rss reader). Now it feels good to be current with all messages, which arrive and immediately they get filed or deleted- depending from their sender and purpose. This is of course not finish of my organizing & reorganizing of tools I am using- but good start keeps me motivated to keep going!
