THANK YOU

to all of you, who come here and read my posts and those of you who have subscribed to my newsletter- and possibly now considering new options for getting the updates.
What would I do without you?

There is a lot I would like to share with you: people I know personally, that support my work and all of you, who in or other way came across my photographic work, my blog, my website etc.

For some time I thought that newsletter, sent independently from the blog post would be the way to go. And I guess I can admit- I was a little bit testing my grounds here.
E-mail newsletter seem to be very highly recommended marketing tool by some. But are the same tools going for all?

Probably not.

And my newsletter, even though it was always nice extra activity and seemed like more personal way of communication with my subscribers, wasn’t really fulfilling the need of sharing. I write about my work, interesting finds, especially from handmade community of etsy.com, sometimes share my concerns and opinions about very specific photographic subjects.
And short e-mail newsletter just doesn’t exactly offer the space.

That is why I would like to invite you, my current and new newsletter subscribers to join the blog feed.
You can either add my blog to your RSS reader or just request to have new posts delivered to your e-mail inbox: Subscribe to Joanna’s Foto Blog by Email

And it’s almost done!
Just needs some finishing touches and will be available within next week or so.

Today I just wanted to share with you small preview of designs.

Yes- designs. I actually decided to create two calendars. Looking at some of my photographs I have decided, that some photos will relate better to women, when others may be more fitting men. And hence the dual design. So keeping this in mind one calendar features prints from Long Grass Series, where main subject is very popular wildflower- queen anne’s lace.
Second is presenting few nature photographs, but majority comes from City Landscapes and Industrial series.

One of definite places where both calendars will be available for purchase is my store on Etsy.com: http://etsy.com/shop/JoannasPhotography
Of course- I will keep you updated about any others!

Below, please, take a look at few monthly pages from each.
Just to add- calendars can be customized as far as names of months and weekdays- so it can be printed with French, German & Polish names, as well as any other languages- if you request

Calendar with flowers

City landscapes & Industrial

I had the big pleasure of returning to the Durham Arts Council for some more interaction with quilts and their amazing creators. This time we had more fun, than just talking about inspiration, creativity and creative process.

The reception was filled with happy chatter, great performances and some dancing!
Take a look at this gallery of photographs taken on the 20th of August at the Durham Arts Council- for the Life Through Quilts exhibition!

So???

Why have I changed the design yet again?
It seems like none of the previous ones had gave me full satisfaction. I like some of them more (or less), but there was always something missing.

You know, how sometimes it looks good, everything works fine, but… unspoken something is missing.

So, that was my case.
And this template offers me more, than just design, that fits in my expectation. I am also happy that it offers full page, with blog being just sub-page of the whole piece. I think the fact, that everything has clearer structure and much more accessible makes it the solution for me.

I hope, you my dear readers, will be coming back and will find this design comfortable and inviting!

Thank you for staying and reading my posts. And thank you for all sweet comments and very nice words!
I only hope you will never get disappointed in my work, my writing and my ideas!
