Thank you for coming to DAW
Finally everything is organized and filed away.
And the more I do it (the shows)- the more I seem to realize, that I much more prefer the part of getting ready for the show, rather that putting leftover inventory back into their storage space, putting supplies away etc.
There is an idea in my head about why preparation to the show can be more exciting. It’s that part of not really knowing who is going to come and comment on your work and who will enjoy it, so they will want to hang it at home or office for decorative purposes. It’s the part of guessing, what inventory would be most representative of my work and at the same time- will attract customers?

The above photograph shows part of my display from DAW ( Durham Art Walk).
Now, to explain my title- this was supposed to be post written to thank all of you, who were able to come to Durham and participate in Art Walk.
I know from few of you, that the event being located throughout the downtown part of city added a little bit confusion, but maybe also some excitement, like adventure of finding undiscovered sites?
Along with few other artists I had my stand at one of the lobby of American Tobacco Campus.
We had lots of people coming and going through the lobby. Some of them not realizing that there is an art event going on. But I think for most of them it was really nice surprise.
So- THANK YOU very much for stopping by, for chatting and sharing your opinions. I loved your excitement and I loved how you reacted to my work. I consider photography to be one of those artistic mediums, that can very easily become personal thanks to what it presents and I have noticed that type of reaction so often. I am very thankful and grateful for that, it makes me as a creator and an artist more aware of my work and gives me satisfaction of doing something, that is being appreciated.
I wanted to THANK sweet clerks at Saladelia, the little cafe located just next to my stand. The coffee was great and the smell of each fresh brew throughout both days was really awesome! Loved it! I hope you came to my blog and can read it- I really appreciate you being so nice to me!
This was my third show of this type. At the same time third different experience. And each of them adds to my personal list of different things to do, when getting ready for the next one. One day I need to write down my observations and post it here!
